Legal & Policies
These terms apply to all services offered by BoxTone Studio, including guitar tuition, recording sessions, PA hire, and guitar services. By making a booking you agree to the terms below. Last updated: May 2026.
Booking
Lessons are available on a recurring weekly basis or as individual sessions. Slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and are not confirmed until acknowledged by BoxTone Studio.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of each lesson unless a monthly block booking arrangement has been agreed in advance. Accepted payment methods are listed on the booking site.
Cancellation by the student

Cancellation by BoxTone Studio
In the unlikely event that a lesson needs to be cancelled by BoxTone Studio, you will be given as much notice as possible and the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra cost, or a full refund issued if rescheduling is not possible.
Illness
If a student is unwell, please give as much notice as possible. Cancellations due to genuine illness will be treated sympathetically — wherever possible lessons will be rescheduled rather than charged.
Booking & deposit
Recording and voiceover sessions require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session before work begins.

Session overruns
Sessions are booked by the hour. Time overrunning the booked session length will be charged at the standard hourly rate, subject to availability.
Delivered files
Finished files will be delivered within 5 working days of the session unless otherwise agreed. BoxTone Studio retains a backup copy for 30 days following delivery.
Booking & deposit
PA hire bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event, or on the day for bookings made within 7 days of the event.

Travel & access
The client is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access for load-in and load-out of equipment. Any parking costs, congestion charges, or access fees not disclosed at the time of booking will be recharged to the client.
Damage to equipment
BoxTone Studio equipment is covered by insurance. However, any damage caused by wilful misuse or negligence on the part of the client or their guests may be recharged at the cost of repair or replacement.
Estimates & quotes
Where possible a fixed price will be agreed before work begins. For complex repairs, an estimate will be provided. If additional issues are discovered during the work, you will be contacted before any additional charges are incurred.
Turnaround
Most setup and repair work is completed within 5 working days. An estimated completion date will be provided at the time of drop-off.
Collection
Instruments should be collected within 14 days of completion. BoxTone Studio cannot accept liability for instruments left beyond this period.
Liability
BoxTone Studio takes every care with instruments in its possession. Liability is limited to the cost of the work carried out. Customers are advised to ensure their instruments are covered by their own insurance whilst in transit.
Privacy
Contact details provided at the time of booking are used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and will not be shared with third parties.
Changes to these terms
BoxTone Studio reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The current version will always be available at this page. Existing bookings are governed by the terms in place at the time of booking.
